Moto-Med Inc. was built in Los Angeles to answer a question traditional courier services never solved well — how do you beat LA traffic when every minute matters?
Our story
A logistics answer to a clinical deadline
We started Moto-Med as a purpose-built alternative — motorcycle couriers running dedicated, point-to-point specimen transport, with tracking and custody documentation that a procurement team or a quality auditor can actually rely on.
Labs and hospitals across Los Angeles were running the same workaround: build extra buffer into every specimen's processing window because the courier might be stuck on the 10. That buffer costs turnaround time, and sometimes it costs the sample.
We don't move furniture, food, or retail parcels. Bio-specimen transport is the entire business, and the operation is designed around it.
Fleet & team
Licensed, experienced, and maintained to standard
- Riders. Fully licensed, experienced motorcycle couriers trained on specimen handling, packaging verification, and custody logging before they take a run.
- Certifications. Every rider is HIPAA, OSHA, HAZMAT, DTSC, DOT, and CHP certified — covering patient privacy, workplace safety, hazardous and medical waste handling, and commercial transport compliance.
- Fleet management. Scheduled maintenance intervals and pre-shift checks so a mechanical issue never becomes a missed delivery window.
- Safety standards. Required protective gear, secured mounted transport cases, and defensive riding practices on every run.
- Coverage. Rider capacity scaled to client volume so scheduled routes always have an assigned courier.
